Direct Cremations
What is a Direct Cremation?
An Unattended Funeral, or Direct Cremation, is a way of saying goodbye to your loved one without a formal funeral service.
When somebody passes away, we collect them, place them in a good quality oak veneered coffin, before transferring them to a crematorium. The ashes would then be returned to the family, or scattered in the grounds of the crematorium.
There is no visiting of the deceased, family members are not allowed to attend the cremation, which would take place at a Local Crematorium at a date and time specified by your Funeral Director.
How Much Does it Cost?
Our fee is £2,000 plus disbursements.
(Park Wood Crematorium, Elland, Direct Cremation Fee is £350)

Direct Cremation Advertising on Television
There is a lot of Social Media & TV advertising at the moment, promoting ‘Direct Cremations’ or ‘Unattended Funerals’ at discounted prices, and for people who don’t want ‘a lot of fuss’ to mark their passing, when the time comes.
Please be assured that Amanda Dalby Funeral Services can also provide these services, but with our usual PERSONAL TOUCH - so that you still feel looked after & loved, at the sad time of the loss of your loved one.
