BUDGET CREMATION PLAN (a 'Yorkshire Funeral')

A very simple funeral service where the family meet at the crematorium, with no hearse (a private ambulance is used), a good quality veneered wood coffin*, care & collection of the deceased during normal working hours from a hospital or  elsewhere**. Funeral arrangements to be made over the telephone, video call, or in The Funeral Parlour, Monday to Friday, during normal working hours, to complete all necessary paperwork. Funeral Director will arrange for an appropriate minister or officiant to conduct the service and any necessary staff. No visiting of the deceased, no use of our Private Service Chapel or the Greenwood Room, no limousines or newspaper notices. Family to arrange own flowers, orders of service and any other extra third party costs. Collection & storage of ashes is included. Full payment will be required 4 days prior to the funeral taking place.

STANDARD CREMATION PLAN

To arrange a funeral service at a Crematorium Service Chapel, with cortege from The Funeral Parlour or home address, including a hearse, a good quality veneered wood coffin*, care and collection of the deceased from a hospital or elsewhere during normal working hours**, and use of our Greenwood Room. Funeral arrangements can be made over the telephone, video call or at The Funeral Parlour, at a time that is convenient to you,  with completion of all necessary paperwork and relevant staff & appropriate minister or officiant to conduct the service. Funeral Director to arrange embalming and visiting of the deceased in our Private Service Chapel, limousines, newspaper notices, flowers & orders of service if necessary - all at an extra cost (see below). Collection & storage of ashes is included. Full payment will be required 4 days prior to the funeral taking place.

BESPOKE CREMATION PLAN

As the Standard Cremation Plan, but with the addition of your Funeral Director arranging a full funeral service at our Private Service Chapel, at a Church or chosen venue, prior to a short committal service at a crematorium. Full payment will be required 4 days prior to the funeral taking place.

BESPOKE BURIAL PLAN

Your Funeral Director will arrange a full funeral service at a Church, our Private Service Chapel or chosen venue, followed by a burial in a council cemetery, Church graveyard or woodland burial site. Funeral Director to liaise with and organise the relevant burial ground. All other arrangements as the Standard Cremation Plan.

Full payment will be required 4 days prior to the

 funeral taking place.

UNATTENDED FUNERAL

(Direct Cremation)

This includes care & collection of the deceased during normal working hours from a hospital or coroner's mortuary**, a simple oak effect wood veneered coffin*, transporting the deceased by private ambulance to a local Crematorium, completing the necessary paperwork, and the staff needed to take the deceased to the Crematorium.  There would be no service, no choice of time & date for the cremation taking place, no mourners in attendance, and no visiting of the deceased. The next-of-kin, or executor, would need to sign all of the relevant paperwork at our Funeral Parlour, prior to the cremation taking place. Full payment will be required 4 days prior to the funeral taking place.

PRIVATE CHAPEL OF REST FUNERAL SERVICE

(Followed by Direct Cremation)

The Funeral Service would be held in our comfortable, air-conditioned, Private Service Chapel  (maximum capacity is 40 people) followed by a Direct Cremation at a local Crematorium (also known as an Unattended Funeral).   Including care & collection of the deceased during normal working hours from a hospital or coroner's mortuary** and a good quality wood veneered coffin*.  Full Payment will be required 4 days prior to the funeral taking place.

£3,400 plus disbursements

Optional extras may be added if desired.

*Standard sized coffin, up to 6’2’’x22’’ (larger coffins – price upon application)

**Collection of the deceased from a home address, nursing home or hospice, all collections on behalf of HM Coroner, (including Pre-Payment Plan funerals) are subject to a surcharge of £300. Collection of a deceased on any Bank Holiday (including Christmas Eve/Day, Boxing Day, New Years Eve/Day & Easter) are subject to a surcharge of £400.

***Additional mileage will be charged for funerals and collection of the deceased outside of Calderdale, and will be discussed by your Funeral Director with you.
