Amanda Dalby

DipFD, LMBIFD,

Past President of the British Institute of Funeral Directors

Amanda has been a funeral director since January 2005, and has operated her own business since April 2007. She learnt her trade and gained her professional qualifications working for bigger funeral providers in Calderdale, then decided that she wanted to do things differently. She now offers a more modern, personal service to bereaved families.

Amanda was also honoured to become the National President of the British Institute of Funeral Directors in 2024 - the pinnacle of her career to date.

Originally from Idle in Bradford, Amanda moved to Halifax 35 years ago when she was expecting her son, Michael, and now regards it as her hometown.

In her spare time Amanda enjoys going to the theatre & cinema, music & dancing, shopping, and eating out with friends, as well as regular visits back to Bradford to visit her family and friends.
